Candy Nelson Qualifies for Nationals in Figure

Congratulations Candy!!! Candy Nelson placed fourth out of a tough class at the NPC Bodyrock Figure Competition on July 14th, 2002. The Bodyrock Figure division is known to be the most competitive nationwide, therefore, the top four competitors in each height class qualify for Nationals. This was Candy's first figure competition and taking forth place qualified her for Nationals. That is quite an accomplishment for anyone at their first competition. Lindsay worked with her for about nine months in preparation for this competition. Candy's physique changed drastically throughout the course of their preparation.

Congrats to Michele Baker & Joyce Bivens

Congratulations to Michele Baker (left) and Joyce Bivens (right) for their top five placings at the NPC Georgia State Bodybuilding competition held in Atlanta, GA on July 6th, 2002. Lindsay prepared both Michele and Joyce by assisting them with their nutrition and training needs. This was Michele's second competition, but first NPC bodybuilding competition. This was Joyce's very first bodybuilding competition. She is a mother of three and never thought it would be possible to compete after having three children. Lindsay encouraged her to compete for months. Finally, she stepped on stage and took forth place in her first competition.
Michele had been working with Lindsay for over a year. In September of 2001, Michele won her first competition in a drug tested event. Michele took third place in the Georgia State competition which was not drug tested. Both Michele and Joyce competed in the light weight division, which was the most competitive class of the women.
